How to Wear and Care for a Flyknit Sports Knee Brace
A Flyknit sports knee brace only performs as well as its fit. Worn correctly, knitted knee support moves with the joint, holds compression through long sessions, and stays comfortable enough to forget you have it on. Worn wrong or washed carelessly, it slips and stops supporting. Here is how to get it right.
Getting the fit right
Measure the knee circumference at the center of the kneecap with the leg straight, then match that number to the manufacturer’s size chart rather than guessing from clothing size. A correctly sized Flyknit sports knee brace should feel snug and supportive without leaving deep marks after removal.
Measure mid-patella with the leg straight.
Pull the brace on with the denser knit band positioned above the patella, and check that the back of the knee is not pinched when you bend. If the sleeve rolls down during movement, it is too large; if it restricts circulation or tingles, it is too small.
When to wear it
Use the brace for its intended activity — running, gym work, hiking — and take it off afterward. It supports and warms the joint during movement, but all-day compression is not necessary for most people. Let skin breathe between sessions.
For minor discomfort, wear it during warm-up and training, and remove it for recovery. Sudden pain, swelling, or instability deserves a professional assessment before you train through it.
Washing a knitted knee brace
Hand-wash in cool water with a small amount of mild soap. Squeeze water through the knit gently, then rinse until it runs clear — do not wring or twist, which distorts the knit and weakens elastic yarns.
Skip bleach, fabric softener, and hot water. All three attack the spandex that gives the brace its compression, and softener coats the fibers so the knit stops wicking sweat.

Hand wash cool, air dry flat.
Drying without ruining the stretch
Air-dry flat or draped over a rack, away from radiators, hair dryers, and direct sun. Heat is the fastest way to turn a supportive brace into a loose sleeve. Never put it in a tumble dryer.
Making it last
Rotate two braces if you wear one daily, so each can dry and recover its shape. Keep it away from velcro in your gym bag, which snags knitted surfaces. Store it flat, not balled up, and it will keep its compression for many seasons — which matters for your knees and your wallet.
As a professional flyknit manufacturer, quality is non-negotiable. We are one of the first companies in China to obtain GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification. Every production batch goes through multi-stage inspection covering yarn consistency, knitting tension, dimensional accuracy, and durability testing. This strict process ensures the final product meets international brand standards.
